Chocks is provided by Chocks Aviation Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 17418657, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. By using Chocks you agree to these terms. Contact: admin@chocks.uk.
Chocks is currently in an invitation-only beta and is free to use. The service may change, be interrupted, or have features added and removed while the beta runs. We work to keep the record safe (the design is append-only and backed up), but during a beta you should not treat Chocks as your only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. You can export your records as CSV at any time.
Sign-in is by codes sent to your email, so your email account is your key: keep it secure. You're responsible for what's done under your sign-in. Accounts are for people, created by invitation.
Your data is yours. You grant us the licence needed to host, process and display it to run the service: to you, and to the other members of an aircraft group whose shared record it forms part of. Records you contribute to a group's aircraft record (tech log, defects, bookings, ledger) remain part of that shared record. Enter records honestly; Chocks is built so corrections are added rather than history rewritten.
Chocks never holds a group's money. Balances, pots and settlements are records of what a group owes among itself; paying them happens outside Chocks, between members. Chocks is not a payment service, a bank, or a party to any transaction between members.
Use Chocks lawfully and honestly. Don't attempt to break, probe or overload it, don't scrape other people's data, and don't upload content that is unlawful or that you have no right to upload.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that: Chocks is provided as is, during beta free of charge, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data during the beta, or losses arising from reliance on the service contrary to the box above. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to £100 or the sum you have paid for the service in the last 12 months, whichever is greater.
You can stop using Chocks at any time and ask for your data (see the privacy policy for how deletion works with shared records). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and may end the beta or the service with reasonable notice, in which case you'll have the chance to export your records.
We may update these terms. Materially changed terms will be flagged in the app or by email, and the date above updated. When paid subscriptions launch, payment terms will be added and clearly presented before you pay. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
